Will the PDSA help with the cost of an operation to have my cats voice box taken out
He's so noisy, it's quite unbearable.
Answers:how about we have your fingers removed for typing such a question, and your brain removed for such thoughts. he is a Male for crying out loud maybe he wants some, get a female cat and see if it stops making noise, or have him fixed.
No, it's an unneccessary operation!
Er, no, he's a living creature, not a toy that you can modify if he's inconvenient.
A pet should only be operated on if it is in medical need. No good vet would remove a cat's voicebox for no good reason other than he is noisy & no good pet-owner would want to either.
I don't know what the PDSA is, but if you don't want your cat making noise, you need to rethink the type of pet you own. Maybe you are better suited for a fish.
To get treatment at the PDSA, you need to be on income support or similar, but they will not do that op.
Cats can not be 'de-meowed' like dogs can be de-barked. You can't remove their voice box.
But cats that are 'noisy' sometimes have a medical problem- such as high blood pressure (yes, cats get that) or a thyriod disorder..
Consider having your vet check for reasons for the excessive noise, OK?
He is a cat. Some of them are vocal.
Maybe he's sick, bored, or hurt and he's trying to tell you.
