it is hard to pill a cat i usually get bit every time i have to do it and by my own cats to!
you can get worming liquid already in syringes ready to squirt down their throats
I've never seen a powder to get rid of worms. Flea powder, yes, but if they have worms, they'd need medication.
For me, tablets are a lot easier to give than liquid, but everyone's favorite way is different. A pill can be crushed up into their food, and the liquid can be mixed into their food also. But they'll need the medication to get rid of the worms so however you can get it into them so long as they get it.
The vet can show you how to give both meds.
I use the liquid and mix it with broth. When I give the tablets for tape worm twice a year it is just a bad scene. I coat them with butter and wear leather gloves. Good luck
To get a really effective wormer for your cat you need to be getting it from a vets or an animal pharmaceutical company. You can get liquids that you put on the skin for worming, farmers sometimes use it for cattle, but it's an expensive method. You're better using a liquid or tablet for a cat.
You can get bob martin (i'm sure that's the correct brand) in drops that you put onto the back of their neck. Sorry don't know if it works as i have never used it.
If not have a word with your vet and i'm sure they can recommend something.
I worm my cats using granuals that i sprinkle on their food. i have to feed them there dinner seperately at the time so i know they have all had the right amount of the stuff. and none of my cats have had worms so i must be doing something right.
A pill is the most effective way, your vet can do it for you.
Don't use OTC dewormers. They are a major waste of money and they also can cause your cat to become very ill. In order to get the proper dewormer you need to take a stool sample in to the vet and have a fecal test done to determine what type(s) worms are present and then the vet will give you the proper medication.
You can get a vial of liquid to squeeze on the back of the neck from the vet I find this is the easiest,
Cats should be wormed 4 times a year to kill roundworms and tapeworms, which can cause weight loss and digestive problems in your animal, and have the risk of being transferred to children. The most effective wormers are bought from your vet, products bought in a pet shop or supermarket are not as strong (which is why you can get them without being seen by a vet), and also you quite often have complicated instructions for using them.
