Products available for vets include tablets, granules, pastes and spot-on treatments. If you have difficulties getting your cat to take a tablet, ask your vet or vet nurse to administer it for you. Granules are easy to put into food, although if you have more than one cat you'll need to feed them separately on that one occasion. Pastes can be squirted straight into your cats mouth. The spot-on wormer is a fairly new product, it kills both roundworms and tapeworms and is used in the same way as veterinary flea spot-ons. the spot-ons are a little more expensive than tablets (around 拢5-6 where I'm from compared to 拢3-4 for a tablet), but well worthwhile to save your fingers!

Worming syrups good althoughh you need to make sure youve got a good hold of the cats head or theyll wriggle out of it. the one i got is chocolate flavour, and it comes out in exactly the right amount. At least you know that if you give your cat the wormer this way then its gone down! Unlike if you put it in their food, some cats dont like the taste. If i can get it down my 10 week old kitten then anyone can do it!
