I have noticed that one of my kittens stays warmer than the other but his apatite is fine and he plays well. If the little thing does not display any signs of being ill then he is just fine

The ONLY way to check if a cat has a fever is to take it's temperature anally!! Their normal temperature is higher than ours.around 101-102 degrees. You cannot "feel" a cats fever.
Not usually. Their body temperature runs higher than ours normally, so they naturally feel warm to us. Also, if you're cool, they seem warmer. Is it acting sick? Is it eating/drinking normally? My Baby shivered like he was freezing when his temp was too high.
I had always heard that noses were more 'accurate' thermometers than feet.
No, not a sign of fever but what is her general condition? Is she eating ok, using her litter box? My cat, who is in good health, has the hottest little feet!
If your kitty is eating, drinking, and playing well, than he or she is fine. Also, cats are fastidious about their grooming, so if your kitty cat starts to look unkempt, he or she could be unwell. Good Luck!
