i have 3 cats.my 10 month old is pregnant.my boy cat is not the daddy-he's neutered.will my pregnant cat be ok to have her babies in my home or should i take her to the vet? will my boy cat or my other girl cat try to harm the kittens? (they really don't like my pregnant cat) should i be concerned?

ay.anyone want some free kittens??! PLEASE??!! im turning into the crazy cat lady oh no! lol

Answers:

At home should be fine for delivery, although it might not hurt to know where the closest vet and emergency clinic are, in the very unlikely event that there are problems. I did see a breech birth and the mama needed help.

Also, switch the mother to a high quality kitten food for the duration of pregnancy and lactation.

She can probably handle the other cats, but have a comfortable place ready where you can isolate her with her kittens in case the other adults give her trouble.

Also, a lot of people adopt kittens and later abandon them, or even adopt kittens and are cruel to them. So, in case you weren't entirely joking, try to get to know anyone who may adopt one of the kittens. There are many nice people, but also some scary ones, in this area of the net.
