need help kitten sick barley nurese got formula but think it is having seizures bites its paws and g2007-11-25 12:24:42

please help me someone i have been nursing him back to health was doing well then started nursing on mom but went limp today kinda like a seizure. What do I do I have no money to take to vet and the animal shelters nor the humaine society will take him.

Answers:

Take the cat to the vet. The vet needs to look at the kitten and see what is wrong. I have seen kittens have seizures from anything from birth defects to allergies.

Its hard, but obviously you care for the kitten, dont let it suffer

You can afford the computer and the Internet but you cant afford to take a very sick kitty to the vet?? Take the cat to the vet ASAP and work off the payment or drop the Internet and pay the vet.

Definitely go to the vet if you can, but don't let the kitty feed on the mama. I had a kitten with this problem, she was allergic to her moms milk. Keep nursing with the formula if you have to. Why discontinue something that was working. That kitten is still alive today and living with my sister, I would say it was about 10 or so years ago. She almost died from the allergy. Kittens can die from a veriety of problems. First look at the ovious. Is she taking in liquids. Pending on her age, it is impossible to forse feed her from her mom. Walmart sells canned kitten suppliment milk. Its about $4 a can. You will also need an serenge of some sort. They sell them too. Warm the milk some, and forse feed her slowly as not to choke her. It sounds like she needs nurishment, bad. Fleas and ear mites can also kill. Be sure to check that too. Especially if she was outside much. Good luck. Also keep her very warm.
