Just answered a very similar question--what to give a cat in pain.
Off the top, a snake bite should be treated by a VET. Period. Only a vet can prescribe appropriate medication AND treatment.
If YOU got a snake bite, wouldn't you see a doctor? Or would you second guess & try a home remedy?
even if the snake isnt poisonous you have to take it to the vets, this way you avoid getting gaingreen or a bad infection. if you really dont want to do that, just call your vet and ask, they have the best answers.
Think about it this way.
When you have your cat spayed, she comes home same day as surgery with a stomach full of stitches and NO pain medication.
If a cat needs pain meds for a snake bite something else is going on.
GO TO THE VET. There is an all nite Vet in almost every town.
TAKE IT TO THE VET
You can give cats baby aspirin - never Tylenol type meds.
I hope the snake was not Venomous, as it will be very painful and may be fatal. What kind of snake? Non poisonous, snake bites are identified by rows of teeth marks usually U shaped. Venomous snake bites usually are identified by two fang wounds.
For cats over 3 pounds try half of an 81 mg baby asprin. I suggest this as a VET prescribed this for my wifes Tea Cup Yorky many years ago. It seemed to work in dogs.
