why does my kitten insist on sticking her but in my face when she sits with me?

Answers:

Kittens love to be scratched on their behind area as well as behind their ears. Not a wierd habit, just a cat thing. It's their way of saying "Pet me!" and "Whatever you're doing can't be as important as I am!." Even once you start the petting though.it just continues on forever. Cats are very affectionate animals as I am sure you have found out.

She's marking her territory, simple as that. She's letting you and everyone and everything else know that you're hers and hers alone
people dont own cats.cats own people, and we love our lil baby kittys too.
To cats, presenting your bum for a sniff (putting her butt in your face) is like shaking hands.

She just wants to say HI

youre cat is just saying that he/she wants love because he/she hadn't had much probably.
It's just what they do.no matter what their age is
I think kitties think their butts are just sooo beautiful, and they want to share with someone they love their pretty little butts.

Prrrrrrrrrr. I love you. see my butt?

She wants you to know how she smells. It's a way of marking you as hers. My cats do that, too. It's odd, but just pat her at the base of her tail a couple of times and scratch her ears. Just wait until kitty starts licking your ears. Now THAT'S a wierd habit.
she is treating you like a mother cat. When the mother cat comes back to it's litter of kittens they show there backside to the mother for cleaning.
She does this to show that she trusts you(Turning ones back on an enemy is a no no !), and to beg for pets, which, obviously she loves. I hope that you two have a wonderful life.:)
