sounds like diarrhea. did he get into something he shouldn't have? or has he eaten something he likes to excess?

when i was a kid our cats loved to chase and eat grasshoppers. most years that wasn't a problem as there wasn't that many grasshoppers. one year we had a plague of grasshoppers and my cats all went crazy for days chasing, catching and eating grasshoppers.

as a result they had diarrhea like crazy---and it sounds just like what you've described. after a while they got tired of all the grasshoppers they could eat and stopped eating them. the diarrhea stopped soon after.

i'm guessing grasshoppers are like a White Castle belly bomber. or 'slider' as we call them. eat of few of those things---man they are tasty going down, but soon its just like a cat eating lots of grasshoppers!

He may have some kind of infection or something. Take him to the vet immediately.

I would think his anal glands need to be squeezed. Sometimes they get infected or clogged up, and you have to squeeze the fluid out. It is a very disgusting process, and you could do it yourself or take him to the vet (which I would recommend). Is he dragging his bottom on the floor as well? That is another sign of an anal gland problem..
