should 6 wek old kittens be left alone duing the day2007-11-25 12:25:46

I have recently got 2 6 wk old kittens and I am concerned about the runnig free in the house w/out my here, what do ya'll think

No, don't leave them alone in the whole house. Never mind the destruction they'll wreak, but it'd be dangerous for them as well. Put them in a large room with their litter box, food and water, and lots of toys. Bathrooms are great if you have a big enough one. And they WILL totally toilet paper it so removing it is a good idea (I didn't do that with my kitten & the next morning the entire roll was on the floor in shreds lol). They'll be fine like this. Just give them lots of cuddles when you get home. (and leave the toilet seat DOWN!)

Maybe you should try and put them in a bit of an enclosed area. Heard about a kitten left in a back yard and a dog harmed it. It was heartbreaking - also some of the bigger birds would see the baby as prey. I think kittens could get into some real trouble in the house if they aren't contained in some way. Good luck!

Leave them in one room, (maybe the bathroom) with their food and water and litter box. They will keep each other entertained while you are away. You might also leave them something to play with, but hide the toilet paper or they just might paper your bathroom!
