Congratuations on wanting to do this!

no. one is enough
of course you should! there are so many animals being put to death because they don't have homes to go to. i have 2 cats and am very thankful that they have each other for the times when i am away from home. it may take both of them a while to adjust, but if you are patient they will learn to love the new arrangement
Do it. You can never have too many cats and there are always too many cats that need to be adopted. If you can afford it and have the time.go ahead!!
Yes, adopt another. If you have the time, room and finance for another one, I say go for it. They may have a few weeks of spats trying to get used to each other, but your kitty now may love a feline friend to romp with.

I would go with a neutered male, but you go with whatever cat steals your heart.

personally, i think that u should get a cat or a kitten. i love cays, but my dad litterally HATES cats. ive begged him but he wont budge. yes you should get a KITTEN and you should get it ASAP
yes do it
You should if you are positive you have time and you want one. I'm sure if you get a kitten it will get along great with your older cat. If you get a cat it might be best to get a male they seem to get along better with other female cats because they don't get as jealous
