If the vet won't take payments.. could you find another one that will? If you don't have family or friends that would take care of her until you are better able to handle her then maybe you could board her at a vet's. That way they can see to her medical needs as well. If you happen to live in the Birmingham, Alabama area I know a great vet that will let you do payments and won't overcharge you.

I think you already know what your answer is just by reading your question: that you want to keep the cat. First question, have you ever gone to another vet? Diarrhea & throwing up could be something simple like a type of worm or the kind of food you are giving your cat. Does the cat go outside ever? What kind of food do you give him/her? How old is the cat? What exactly has your vet told you? I honestly don't think the sickness is as bad as you may think, and I really think you should keep your cat. You seem to care a great deal about her, and I don't think the issue with her will be a long-term one. If you don't want to see another vet because of vet bills, I would go on other forums and ask pet owners. The symptoms your cat has aren't uncommon in the least, and I'm sure there are tons of people who have good suggestions. Good luck with your baby, by the way!
