should i get a kitten
i have just settled into a new house with my fiance but what i miss from 'home' is the cat and dog. i really want to get a kitten as its not fair to leave a dog all day. Anyway, i don't mind litter trays to begin with but want to train it to go outside, my problem is that front and back gardens are both paved and didn't think cats would go on paving stones and maybe need grass. I'm thinking it will venture into neighbours gardens, which i doubt they'd appreciate. Is there another way? help! i really want one!
Answers:My cats don't have grass I have a minimalist style garden. They still sleep on the stone. I also have decorative bark and they love that too.
Stay away from the kitten. A puppy would be better.
Why not buy one of those covered toilet trays. If it rains the litter stays dry, and when the kitten covers up what it has done, it wont knock out the litter onto the paved area.

you should get a kitten. You sound so caring about not to leave a dog on its own all day and the fact you mention about the cat may go on other people gardens.

honestly. if you are going to have it go outside you had better get a good fence around your yard so your cat can't get out and no other animals that are going to kill your cat can get in. leash train your kitten and you can take him outside that way. if you don't, then don't bother getting one.

Yes, you should! You can train cats to go on the toilet. My cat just uses the litter box, but they say you can train them. The best thing about them is you can leave them at home and they dont mess up anything, not like dogs! Just be sure to get him/her declawed.
well, the cat will still have to go to the toilet night so you need a kitty litter tray indoors! And you don't train cats to go to the loo outside, they do it all by themselves! only training is for indoors. bit ya u need some soil in your garden because they always cover it up.
