should i give my outside cat a bath2007-11-25 12:25:21

she used to be a mom and she has been fixed and all but i want to give her a bath where she can come inside but one of my cats get really jealous because there is only one male and they hiss at each other and it is really getting cold lately and i dont know what to do.HELP ME PLEASE.

We had to give my outside cat a bath once.

She rolled on the concrete under one of our cars and i guess there was oil under there. Anyways, we didnt want her to lick it off and get sick, so we had to give her a bath. Wear huge yellow rubber gloves. Cats do not like water, and your cat will probably hate you for a few hours after this experience. Anways, if you have to do it, get like a pot or big container to put her in, and put that in the bathtub/shower floor. Use cat shampoo. Make sure you keep her in for a while after you give her a bath, because she will be wet and probably all of the oils in her coat will be gone so she will be cold outside. if you give her a bath do it before it gets REALLY cold.

Yes, you can give a cat a bath. I have given my cats a bath from time to time. I would make sure you have someone to help you. Cats don't like getting a bath and will try to fight you alittle. I only do it if it is absolutely neccessary. If you bring an outside cat inside.most cats are very clean animals.the outside cat will most likely clean itself really good.

dont do it she will just hate you 4ever give her some food outside and a box w/ some blankets i found a cat and did that and them came in my house to have her kittens so she trusted me by me doing that and that all!! NO BATH
