I had a semi-feral kitten, who is still part of the family 7 years later. She would never come near me, and would only be in the same room at a distance.

Lots of reassurance, patience, and kindness, and she is much more part of the household! She won't go near the kids, but she'll sit near the fire, or on the same sofa, and very occasionally comes and sits on our laps. We realise this is probably as good as it gets, but we love her, and let her enjoy lif, her way.

You must remember cats have a will of their own and cannot be taught (not like dogs they shall do any thing for anybody as long as their fed) Cats do their own thing and its all a matter of time..

Yes girl your sure can. I tamed 2 wild kittens as the mother would not feed them. I noticed them out in my back yard one night but i didn't know the mother was there. So i had to take them when she had gone. They are a year old now and doing really well

Try feeding her little tid-bits from your fingers/hands as well as the other suggstions already posted.

Yes you can! Patience and gentleness is the key. I adopted a semi wild kitten a few years back. She has always been very shy and quite timid but allows us to stroke her and comes to sit next to me for a cuddle. Some cats never like being picked up so for now I suggest that you stop trying to pick up your kitten and just concentrate on getting her used to being stroked and having you approach her. If she is worried about being picked up then she'll be frightened when you approach and you'll never make any progress.
