I had a beautiful tortie for 17 years..she was like a sibling to me. She was also incredibly tempermental and downright grumpy sometimes, but at the same time she made it clear she loved us and always trusted us. She was a little smaller than most cats as well. I loved the fact her personality was stronger than most peoples.if you did something wrong (like not feeding her on time) whoo man she let you know it!!
Being female. And being tempermental, I have one.
Most of them are females. I have a Tortie named Tika and she's very sweet natured and also gorgeous.
Tortis shell cats are usually, though not always, female. Temperament varies.
Tortoiseshell cats are known for being female. You do, occasionally come across male tortoiseshells, but they tend to be effeminate
meowing, purring and scratching
Isabella,
Tortie cats are gentle and very loving. They are also very colorful, similar to calico.

Sorry I accidentally rated that as a bad question!
They are known for their "tortitude". That's attitude with a big hiss. I have two of them in my menagerie. Love 'em both.
almost always female, almost always grouchy, and a lot of them (but certainly not all of them) i've seen have been petite, or small in stature.
being temperamental. I had one who had two personalities. but they are great.
Sadly most of the cats that we put down at the shelter where torties, they can be a bit nasty! They are beautiful cats but very moody! If the cat cannot be safely handled it is not adoptible.
everything every other cat is known for i have two toroiseshell's they are both female, 95% of tortoiseshells are females, my 2 are lovely natured cats and get along great with my dogs and other cats, they re lovely.
aka "three colored cats" usually, black, yellow and white, but also known as gray, yellow and white. Torties are almost always female. If you have a tortie male, they are sterile, and quite valueble. Tortie cats are fierce, protective, mothers, very effective hunters, and can be very affectionate to humans when she allows it
unfortionatly we just had to put our tortie down earlier this year.she was a great cat a bit obnoxious on wanting attention.what she started doing was compleately unacceptable.she started attacking my son,i dont mean in a playful way either. it started as maybe 1 to 2 times a month when he got near ,to her hiding waiting for him several times a day while she lunged at him . I mean nasty little thing had her ears laid back, her fur was standing up, teeth and claws bared.
