The Cornish and Devon Rex cats are said to be good for people with allergies as they lack the longer guard hairs in their coat. It is best to check out the Internet and talk to the breeders though, as you don't want to have to re-home an animal that you have become attached to.

Maybe, if you know of an allergy to cats, it is better to avoid them and not have to go through the stress of cat and owner if things go wrong.

There is one can with no hair. Can't remember its breed. Not very attractive, though, and you can't stroke it really.

I'd go for one with *really* short hair. Siamese have short hair, don't they? My orange cat is particularly fluffy. I wouldn't recommend him.

A leopard, tiger, puma or a cheetah. You can own them but they will be caged since pampering them like tame cats can be dangerous and your allergy will not be stimulated.

I don't think it's a good idea for you to own a cat if you have an allergy. There is a breed of hairless cat, that may be less likely to stimulate your allergies, but whether that would appeal to you or not I don't know. If all else fails you could always get a toy cat to cuddle.

The breed of cat you are looking for has very short crimped fur, and no guard hairs (these are what often cause the allergic reaction). It is one of the rex breeds (either Cornish rex or Devon rex, but I can't remember which).
