where in new york city can i find teacup persian cats 4 cheap
i want to own a teacup persian cat but they are expensive .they range 1000+ and want to find one in the $ 5-600 range . whether a rescued or giving one away , adopton. i just want one
Answers:Your not going to find one that cheap, and know for sure that's what it is. You could try contacting rescues, catteries, cat only vets, and the local shelters. Every now and then you come across pure breds in shelters. You would be extremely lucky to find one in that price range.
There is NO such thing as a "teacup" Persian. This is nothing more then a sales tactic by irresponsible breeders to get unknowledgable people to buy. They are simply Persians breed smaller then they should be, then the breed standard calls for.Breeding for smaller then the standard calls for can produce deformed kittens and/or kittens with a multitude of health issues, including but not limited to inproperly formed kidneys & liver, heart defects, neurological issues.
I advise you to steer clear of breeders who advertise such things as "teacup" anything. These peopel are totally irresponsible and are only in it ot scam people and to make $$$$$.
Seek out a responsible breeder of Persians.Go to the CFA site and get a listing of responsible breeders in your state. Look specifaically for breeders who have earned the CFA cattery of Excellance award.
there are no such things as teacup Persian, the only new type or breed to come out of Persians lately is the exotic, Persians can't be teacup because they are generally bigger, have squarish heads, Cobby bodies, and very furry.i don't know why someone would try to miniaturize them, because of the added health probs, why would someone want to make it even harder on the Persian that may have trouble breathing due to a smashed, peke face.also, please get a cat because it fits you and your lifestyle and because you love them like children, so many people get them because they are cool or the next big thing, not realizing that they have to groom them incessantly, embrace their social nature, as they can be stuck to you like glue.. and if you don't realize the responsibility that goes with them, they may end up in a shelter..with that, if a Persian is still for you, i would recommend getting one from a shelter or a rescue, not only is it cheaper, you may be saving a life!

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "TEACUP" PERSIAN, AND BY TRYING TO SAVE MONEY YOU ARE GOING TO SPEND MORE TRYING TO SAVE THE CATS LIFE BECAUSE OF AN IRRESPONSIBLE BREEDER.
