why are cats so rude2007-11-25 12:31:36

i have a number of complaints about my cats:

when i try to work or read the paper they have to sit on it

when i'm trying to get ready to go out they sit on me and bat my mascara/mirror/whatever i'm using

when i try to wrap a present they get in the wrapping paper

they chew my feet and lick my eyes at 5 a.m. wanting food

They hog the fireplace and lie right in front of it so i'm still cold.

they try and scrounge food off my plate and off the kitchen worktop

and so on. how do you teach a cat manners?

Be thankful for the attention! Mine keeps me going through some crap times at the moment! Without him pinching my porridge, walking on my keyboard so I end up sending a load of rubbish!, hiding in my wardrobe and frightening me to death and his wonderful no reproach welcome home, I think I would have cracked by now!! God bless my beautiful, feline! (with all his "annoyances")

Cat's do what their trained to do, you should try training it. It's all about getting your attention, full attention.
