Cats were originally desert animals.There just wasn't enough water around them, so its not so surprising that they aren't crazy about it. Although in reality almost any cat that's been exposed to water since kitten hood may enjoy it.You wont know until you try. Good Luck

I had a cat that loved jumping in the bathtub.. he would "doggie paddle" around happily.
Like any animal if you don't start them at an early age,they will hate it.My wife rescued a kitten ,he was covered and i mean covered in fleas.So we started bathing him about every 2 weeks.he's 2 now and we don't bathe him that much anymore.But when we do he just sits there and relaxes,and seems to really enjoy it.
Not all cats hate water - some swim. All the cats I have known have hated water though. Giving my cats a bath is a terrifying experience and not one that I am going to soon try again.
