why do some female cats tend to be more aloof than male cats
I have a male/female cat (both spayed/neutered) and I was just wondering why females have more higher tendency of being a "loner". my male cat is like 4x more affectionate than my female at times. is it just my cats or are anybody elses male/female cats like mine. in my experience, female cats seem to be distant from their owners. why is this? just curious! any answers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Answers:I haven't found this to be true however cats love to make a liar out of you. I have found that both sexes of cats can be aloof sometimes they just want affection on their terms meaning when I come to you its okay just dont you come to me. I have one like that a little female but when she wants loving you just can't ignore her. I have four cats with uniquely individual personalities.
i have 4 males and 1 female. she only likes my husband. she hisses at me and will only get around me when we go to bed. she gets right up under "me" then. just one of life's little mysteries.
The female has been tricked by too many Kitty Boys in the past. For the male they often become strange when fixed. My neighbor had one that would bring home a litter of feral cats to care for after his operation. Major Weird
