I am not a great fan of drugs either , but go and talk to your vet, if they say that only the drugs will control them and is the best option for your cat stick with them, i know it is expensive, but at the end of the day your cats health is far more important.

there is no other way to controll epilepsy than medication. If one of the kittens has it too then it is hereditary and she should not be allowed ot have any more kittens.

There is no, repeat NO home remedy for epileptic cats. Give her the medication, dont ever run out of it. Keep her away from TV and any other flashing light, as with humans, they trigger fitting in animals too, likewise bright light, like sunlight through trees. My little epileptic mog lived to be 11, so the prognosis is quite good.
