I think both answers are right on this - your kitten is teething, but also exploring their world. Little babies (human) often pick stuff up and put it in their mouths, its a way they can explore the world.

On a side note, are you feeding a natural food? Natural food is more expensive but you don't need to use as much of it so the costs even out. Your kitten could be telling you it is needing something else in its diet or a better quality food. I would do a quick search on the internet for a food that works well for you.

My cat still does that. Ever wonder what happin to all those twist ties that come on bread and other things? Well, I could have swarn I thew them all out but kitty seems to find them all over the place! They like to chew and play.

One word. Teething. Give ur kitten toys to chew especially harder more wearable ones. iF problem continues take it to the vet.
