Persians (and himalayains) have one thing in common.. they both often pee where they shouldnt.. its common among these breeds that were bred for looks and lazy behavior - other traits (like bathroom habits) were overlooked.

is he declawed?? this is also very common in declawed cats.

yes it can be he is mad - either at new things in the house or mad because of many other cats roaming the neighbourhood and he feels he must leave his smell everywhere - you can help him by rubbing a towel on him and putting his smell on things in your home (via the towel).. kitty prozac can help but will affect his personality.

use non- scented clumping litter and have 2 litter boxes.. neither in a scarey place (next to the laundry machine for example can be scarey noises)

Just because he's neutered, that doesn't mean he won't spray. Has anything in your household changed? Even the smallest change can set a cat off.

Get some enzymatic spray to get the smell out of the areas he's already peed on. Because if it still smells like a toilet, he'll still try to use it as a toilet.

If you catch him peeing where he's not supposed to, spray him with water from a squirt gun or bottle.

are you leaving him alone alot? cats tend to be very affectionate animals and hate being left alone or have you had another animal around you or in the house? he may be just marking his territory if none of the above get another opinion from another vet Good Luck

Persian cats are known for that. He may have decided he doesn't like the litter, the location of the box, or any thing else in the house. Good Luck!

if the vet didn't find anything wrong with him.. do you clean his litter box often? sometimes when the litter box is dirty they don't use it, see.cats are extremely clean, and as funny as it seems they don't like to step in dirty sand. so if he is not sick.may be try to clean his litter box more often.

I clean my cats little box 4 days a week. He use to pee in the livingroom and it was so horible tryin to get the smell out.. I used everything.. but we broke down and got rid of the carpet and we put hardwood floors down.. Now the only place he goes to the bathroom at is his littler box.. Make sure thats clean alot..

he is just pissed off u neutered him. buy a spray for anti-pee at the pet shop. if he pee in the same place, it means he is marking his territory like tigers or lions.
