But what I find adorable may irritate you so there is a way to stop a cat from meowing so much.

If you are petting him and he begins to meow, ignore him until he stops and only pet him when he's quiet. If he meows and you pet him or pick him up or give him attention he will continue to meow - when he does meow ignore him. When he is quiet reward him with a treat or a toy. He will soon learn that meowing does not give him positive feedback. Same thing goes with being hyper. if you turn your back on the cat, he may learn that this is not acceptable behavior.

Good luck!

hes still a baby like my two year old never stops. in a few months hell calm down and start getting fatter and lazyer by the day you wish he,d play.
Don't squirt him with water. He's young, he's playful, he's in a new environment, he's used to the company of other cats. All in all quite a change for him.

Cats at about 9 months are at their playing peak. He's used to having playmates, maybe consider getting him a companion. Otherwise get him some toys, accept that young cats will be young cats and enjoy this period in his life. Before too long you'll be complaining that he never plays and is boring!

There is a product called Feliway now.it comes in a plug in form much the same as your plug in air fresheners only we can't smell it and it makes no whirring noise. My cat is not the friendliest of creatures in his best moments and he was making himself ill stressing about my house move and vet advised me to try a Feliway plug in which I thought was a ridiculous idea. Within a day he was out from under the bed.he started eating and much to my shock he sat right next to a screaming 6 month old without attacking him.It lasts approx 4 weeks and covers 50-70 square meters. I only plugged mine in for a week before he didnt need it anymore. Best prices are ebay.cost a lot direct from vet.
it better.
Yes, he'll calm down with age. He's technically still a kitten and still full of kitten energy. Also, how long ago was he neutered? It can take up to two months for all of the hormones to leave their bodies. If it was more recent than that, he could be itching to get out because of all those lovely male hormones;)
