How do you notice, when a cat has a urinary infection?

Answers:

they will pee a lot and oftwn outside of the litter box. if you can, seclude them in a room with a litter box - check for any redness/blood in the urine spot. try to get them to drink to encourage more peeing - and if you see any of these your vet will have to give them an antibiotic. MAKE SURE TO CALL YOUR VET - THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHER THINGS IT COULD BE.

he's probley urinating a lot and in pain!! Take your cat to the vet!
If you notice him/her only peeing a couple drops. You can also tell when they are in pain. Male cats do tend to get urinary infections. I forget the exact term but what happens is the urine crystallizes before it comes out. That can cause great pain and you need to take your cat to the vet.
You will notice that they are trying to force themselves to urinate but nothing comes out. Also check for drops of blood in their liter box. There is no home remedy for uninary infections for cats you must take them to the vet or it can be fatal.
They usually pee in places where you are most likely to be (ie the bed), and sometimes they might actually pee on you. Its a way of signaling they have a problem.

Plus, you can see them strain to pee in the litter box, and have little or no pee come out.

Also, they always seem to go to the litter box.
