i have cat she hates cig smoke but whenever i used smoke some weed she'd get up close to me and id blow big thick clouds of smoke into her face and she'd just sit there a wiggle her nose and breath it in..just wonderin if she could have goten high from that? can cats get stoned? and do u think she enjoyed it?
Answers:I don't know if cats get high from pot smoke, but I do know that weed is toxic to them, so the smoke must be bad for them.
Second hand cigarette smoke is also very bad for them. It's been shown that cats who are exposed to second hand cigarette smoke have a much higher incidence of lymphoma than the general feline population. It seems odd that they tend to get lymphoma from it rather than lung cancer, but that's how it is with cats.
Please be responsible and try to keep both kinds of smoke away from kitty.

Yes, cats can feel the effects of pot smoke. It's bad for them, as is cigarette smoke, so you shouldn't do it anymore with her in the room. She is your responsibility and you should take it seriously.

Yes, cats can get stoned. Ask any man who had a cat while in high school.my husband's not exempt from this.
It's not good for her, though. And please don't smoke cigarettes around her, either. Take it outside or quit. I've been a smoker for 10 years, but I don't subject my child OR my pets to it.
