Can i give my dogs 2 differant meds2007-11-25 2:59:37

My dog had roundworms and is be treating with meds been giving meds every couple of weeks till all gone,can i also start them on like heartguard plus to prevent heartworms and the other worms,or is this too much meds should i wait a few more weeks for the other dewormer to get out of there system?

My dogs are on Heartguard year round and are treated with Panacur twice yearly.

It depends on the age and size of the dog. Check with your vet to see if the medications will interact badly with one another, and to find out what doses are safest for your particular dog.

Yeah don't think there would be a problem with that. My dog is on God knows how many tablets a day for her heart and also insulin for her diabetes not to mention the aspirin for her arthritis.

Check with your vet just to be sure though.
