Rotts are a difficult breed. They are dominant, and if you do not take your role as the leader, the Rottie will. I have done rescue for years, and every problem I've seen with this breed was a people problem, not a dog problem. Get your puppy in an obedience class, and work with her every day. Learn how to establish yourself as the leader, and be sure to keep your little girl in check. It is best to find a trainer that has experience with this breed, and follow their advise. Sometimes it will feel like you are being mean, but remember, your dog is not a baby, it is an intelligent animal, and she is looking to you for direction! If you take your role seriously, she will be happy, and be the best dog you have ever owned!!

I think ANY dog has this potential if put into the right situation. Like a child teasing a dog, or being around young children unsupervised. Some dogs are just better in these situations and some don't tolerate them well. It really depends on the individual dog and after you've had your beloved pet for some time, you will learn what, if anything, will aggrivate and learn to avoid these situations.
