Can someone give me a tip on how to breed my shitzu pair2007-11-25 3:00:09

I have a pair of shitzu's and the female is in heat and i was wondering if there is anything i can do to greaten my chances of them mating succesfuly. Should i put them in there kennel together, or try and confine them? I dont know how long they stay in heat so im not sure how quickly i need to move on this.

If you dont know the answer to this question do you really think you should be breeding?!?! There are WAY too many dogs out there without homes, dont make any more. Just think about and get your dogs fixed!

DO NOT BREED YOUR DOGS !!! There are far too many dogs in this country as it is and so many unwanted dogs that is is just plain ignorant to create more puppies. Go look on the internet and see how many shits are waiting for homes . I would suspect that people are doing this just for the sake of $$$$ considering how much they cost. Why on earth would you want to get your dog pregnant ? Ask yourself what your reason is---I bet its $$$$$$$$$$

i would not confine them because that will cause the female to get aggressive. she may be aggressive at first but then she'll be fine. but just put them in like a room. like the kitchen would be ok and put a gate up and watch to make sure the female doesnt get aggressive or the male doesnt get aggressive and accidently hurt the female. as long as they arent brother and sister or anything like that you should have beautiful pups.

If you do not already know this you should not be breeding. I don't understand the mentality of some people that think just because they have 2 dogs of the same breed they need to mate them.
