Can you walk daschunds2007-11-25 3:00:16

Someone told us that daschunds don't need walking because they're legs are too small or it has pressure on their backs. Is this true?

I would say yes to walks but no to long walks. The length of time dogs need for walks depend on the dog itself. But as other people have said, all dogs and animals need exercise of some kind. :)

I have two daschunds. I know you should definitely walk them the real source of back problems for this breed comes form the dog being overweight or jumping/ going up and down stairs. They need exercise weight can be a very major problem.

Of course they can be walked. All dogs need exercise and enjoy being out with their masters. They can play and run and have a great time. Taking a dachshund to the park and throwing a ball for them to play with is acceptable as well. There is no reason in the world you can't enjoy walking and playing with your dachshund.

yeas gurl you can walk dachshunds i have to beautiful apple head chuiawawas and 2 dachshunds/apple head chuiawawas mixed and i walk them all the time they love to go outside and play in the air and stuff it is very healthy for you to walk them to because that gets them muscles in there legs
