Between a beagle and a dalmatian-which would you pick?

Dalmatian! I have always had dalmatians, and I think they are great, super lovable dogs. It just depends on how active a dog you want. Dalmatians are pretty hyper dogs and need a lot of exercise and attention. (my 9yr old dalmatians still tear around the house like they're puppies) As for dalmatians being nasty- all dogs can be nasty if taught to be. Dalmatians are very strong willed dogs though, and they need someone to take control and be the boss, otherwise they will be. But, on the whole, dalmatians are a fun,sweet dog to own, and are never boring.

ps-the neigbors have a beagle and yes, they do have kind of a horse, funny sounding bark. also, the beagle is certainly a lot mellower than my dals, but I wouldn't change my babies for the world

i have a beagle. she's very sweet. she pretty much just sleeps all day, sniffs around (they're bred to be hunting dogs so they chase squirrels and rabbits and there's no stopping them.) and snacks. she loves food, that's for sure.

i've heard dalmations are kind of b*tchy. they're bigger, and i personally didn't want a big dog.

I would go with a beagle because it is smaller and I think that it has better colors but they have a howly bark.
