I want to get a dog from the shelter and they have a lot of breeds. I want a big dog but do not want it to have to exercise a lot. I live in a city of 100,000 and dont like walking my dog through town. What type is a large loving dog that dosnt need a lot of exercise

wow thats a good question I always thought all big dogs need lots of exercise maybe a great dane I know they have a great dane rescue programs in a lot of states good luck
there isnt any, all dogs need a lot of walking big dogs need at least 45mins a day
well if you don't want to walk your dog or not give it exercise perhaps you should get a cat.
I think that the perfect dog for you is a GREYHOUND!! I am going to get one later in life too! They are great dogs and are way cool. They like excersise, but unlike most dogs, they do not need alot! I think that this dog is a big, beautiful, loving dog. It, I think, will fit all your needs!
All dogs need to exercise. If you live in the city why would you want a big dog. I can't think of any large dogs that would want to lay around except old ones.

I'd say boxers. But they are medium sized some can be pretty big though (like mine) They do need exercise but not alot. You can play with them in your yard or even in the house treadmils work too. I've had two boxers and both we're very loving they are more people dogs than they like other dogs.
All large breeds need exercise, especially if they live in a small house. Bernese Mountain Dog, Briard and Irish Wolfhound are three to look into. They may not need as much as some other breeds such as Border Collie and German Shepherd.
um, lets see. I have a lab. I think a lab would be best. One that is older and won't need as much exercise as a puppy.
