My 11day old puppy sounds like she has mucus in her nose,throat,lungs or something. I took her to the vet and she recommended for her to get x-rays but they didn't have one there so I went to another vet and they gave the puppy amoxicillin for the congestion(take 2x a day), does this sound about right? Has anyone here had a puppy with this problem and was given this medication?? (My puppy didn't get an x-ray, she was just given that medication) Give me some anwers please!

Since you went to 2 vets who told you the puppy has a cold I would trust them. Dogs do get colds and respiratory problems. Wait until the medication has a chance to work. If it doesn't then go get the xray. I wish you the best.

Puppies can get congested very easily. It might be getting a URI.(Upper resp. infection) So the amoxicillin SHOULD help.

the puppy should be okay. it just sounds like it has a cold. maybe the antibiotics will help it out. give those a try and if they don't work, take it back in. Doesn't sound like anything too serious.

Yes, it sounds right. If you have any worries about it though you should get a third opinion. But dogs can have amoxicillin for sicknesses too.

the medication should work if it doesn't well go to the doctor who perscribed the medicine and tell her off haha just kidding go take Xrays

it ok everythings going to be ok :) feed him good stuff NO PIG EARS! it is REALLY BAD FOR A DOG!! i hav a friend whose dog died from it and the vet told me 2 i hav also done research on it /// contact me if u want more info
