I think it's a kind of animated doll thing, or even a child substitute thing. They certainly don't know anything about dogs, they just project their human wants onto the poor animals. I'd love to see someone like that come across their elegantly coiffed t-shirted Fluffy tearing apart a nice juicy rabbit and eating it's guts.
These are the same w**kers who complain about hunting and about dogs living in kennels. They are sad pri*ks who think that dogs should be treated like spoilt brats. Their animals invariably end up obese and ill due to consumption of human food and lack of proper challenging exercise.
In reality, these people are extremely cruel and have no concept of an animal's inherent dignity.
