Answers:I can't answer for people from India, but the predominant religion in Pakistan is Islam. Islamic people don't hate dogs, but they are forbidden to have one in the home. It is against their religion, I assume because the animals are considered unclean. Cats, however, are permitted in the home. The prophet Mohammed is well-known for having loved cats so much that he once cut off the sleeve of his robe rather than disturb his cat who was sleeping on it!

No, I've seen more and more of them as dog owners recently.
I'm not sure if this is a fair question, however, when I was in India I saw a poor demented dog with rabies, a very scary sight,and a bite can kill you.
