My mom's dog is so old that she can't hear and can barely see, but for the last couple days she's been acting like she is in heat. The dog was born in 1992 so uh she kinda old for that don't you think.

They're all bitches . . . . .sorry, just kidding, never heard of such. Our vet recommended spaying our 8+ old girl saying that as she gets older, there's a chance the uterus would flip over. Maybe this is the equivalent of a menopause for dogs.

You don't mention the type of breed she is. Many breeds life expectancy is about 14 years old. She is on that range and if she has not been spayed, I highly suggest following up with your vet to check for cancer or other health issues. Her change could be a sign of something more serious.
