PLEASE do not shave your husky!it will ruin his coat and YES they still shed, just tinier pieces. they were bred to be in a cold climate, so do your best to keep his temp. in the home comfortable for him. shaving doesn't keep him cooler. and you can't stop a dog from shedding just like you can't stop them from peeing. it's what they do. try to upgrade to a premium quality dog food and skin/coat supplements. talk to your vet. and if your doc says shave him, then go somewhere else.
Those things shed like you wouldn't believe. My cousins have one and everytime I visit I can't wear black.and I can't even sit in his car. They groom her and treat her like a queen.brushing her almost daily and getting her trimmed and she still sheds! It's funny you asked that actually, cause not only do I think they shed.I think they're the biggest shedders in existence! Maybe cause they're so active.I dunno..but regardless.it's a really awesome dog.can't get prettier than those.especially at winter in the snow. People think you're walking the streets with a wolf. They're worth it even if they do shed a ton.
They will shed the same.the hairs they shed will just be shorter. If you shave your husky you may be spared some shedding, but then your dog will be unable to be outside in the cold.
