Do these lumps on my dogs lower belly indicate shes about to go into heat
A few days ago, I asked a question about my 3-year-old female dog (not spayed yet) who had a moving lump in her belly, right underneath the skin of her lowest nipple. Well, it's still "coming and going," but now it seems as though the nipple on the other side (so both sides) have these lumps that come and go. I'm pretty sure she's going to start bleeding pretty soon.
One lump is bigger than the other but is it possible that they are there because she is about to go into heat (I see little bits of red on her genitalia at times but nothing so much that she's spotting the furniture and stuff)? If so, why do they keep disappearing and reappearing in the same spots ("underneath" her lowest nipples)?
Answers:Why hasn't she been spayed? I would do so, after she gets an exam by your vet, not spaying your dog increases the dogs chances of cancer. A disappering lump would have me very worried. Make an appt and take her for an exam and spay.
I suggest U take Her 2 a Vet ASAP.My Dog had the same thing years ago it turned out to be Tumors they had to remove them she had 3 of them she was in surgery for about an hour she came home the next day.Good Luck
Female dogs that have not been "spayed" are at risk of developing cancer. The location of the "lump" isn't a good sign. Take your dog to the vet asap and have it checked out.
A vet is going to be able to diagnose this and it could be "very serious". Please, get her to the vet!
