Specifically I'm looking for a website that lists dog breeds (with pictures) that tell you which breeds have which personalities and which are best for my lifestyle.

My personal choice, Chihauhua and Pug, Pugs are the best they are sweet and loving, they only thing I don't like about mine is he doesn't realize how big he is and sleeps on my stomach making it hard for me to breath at times because of his weight.

Dotson, or commonly known as the hot dog. It is cute, lovable, and has great personality. Only downside is that overweight dotsons hounds will develope a spine disorder. So keep em fit and healthly.

I have chinese crested - the powderpuff variety. Lovely breed.

When my children were small, we had a Shih Tzu. She was a great dog and so patient with the kids..she put up with lots of teasing and tail pulling. (She was actually our first "baby!") The American Kennel Club website is great.all breeds are listed and they give lots of info on what's best for your lifestyle. For instance, if you live in an apartment, they suggest breeds that would fit that environment as far as walking and exercising is concerned. It's very informative, and will also give you info on their temperaments, how much time it takes for their coat care, etc.
