Becuase dogs are great companions and give unconditional love.
Dogs become part of the family.
because they love you no matter what your like or what you do. they just love you for you.
Because they accept you as you are . they don't have any major expectations. Just a warm bed and food to eat.
Also, there are alot of childless couples and they are their children. I know what I speak. I have 7 yorkies - they are my children. They're spoiled - but, they don't ask for the car keys. They give us unconditional love!!
They are men's (& womens) best friend!
PEOPLE LOVE THEIR PUPPYS BECAUSE SOMETIMES THE PUPPYS ARE LITTLE AND SOMTIMES THEY ARE BIG ONES.

I love mine because she is beautiful and the best companion ever, with the exception of hubby. She protects me from nasty people and cuddles with me at night. And she doesn't leave the toilet seat up or her underwear in the middle of the floor.
Dogs are loyal and nonjudgemental. When you walk in the door they make you feel like the most important person in the world. Did you know that the entire time you're gone, all they do is wait for you to come back? They don't care how old you are, how much money you have, etc. all they care about is you.
They are loyal, non judgemental, and like to have you around. They never hurt your feelings or make you feel bad. They can sense when your feeling down and they love to cuddle. Plus they are usually pretty cute and do funny things.
I love mine b/c no matter what he loves me. He is always happy to see me. He gives me hugs and kisses when I am sad. He cuddles up next to me when he gets cold. We always have to play with his toys which is too cute. I cannot have children so he is the next best thing! He doesn't cry or get mad if I tell him no either! And. he never talks back! :)
Because the dogs are subservient.. you are the boss. You decide when the dog eats, where the dog goes.
