Anyone believe in the theory that dogs have been placed on this world to be a 'soclal link' between man and the animal world? I mean, dogs can be loyal friends and offer protection to an extent that no other animal can . there must be something special in their make-up?

Answers:

I have 3 dogs and they can make me laugh however bad I'm feeling. I think the purpose of dogs is to teach us what unconditional love really is. All they ask for is to be fed, stroked and given a kind word now and then, They can be starved, mistreated, abandoned and they will still love you. I think most humans could learn an awful lot from our canine friends.

I don't think there is anything special in their makeup only that they have been domesticated to be our loyal companions, yet many people out there abuse this privilege by never paying attention to their pet or abusing it, but if done properly a dog can be a wonderful friend. I have three and I adore being with them sometimes more then most people I meet, lol.

When you have a bond w/an animal like a dog he sees you as the top of the pack, you feed, play, brush and generally make him feel good. When threatened he will be automatically responding to the inner fighter in him. He knows who to protect and will w/o thinking first.

I own three dogs. And they are wonderful animals that bring a joy like no other. I'm not sure if I think they're a social link to the animal world or not, but I do know that they bring a joy to my life that no other animal can bring.

I agree because dogs have a slight neurological cist that almost seems to be a little bit of an esp (is that it i forgot) link with their owners!!?? But hey who doesnt want to believe that?
