Does any one know what to do with a spite full dog when we leave he makes messes on the floor2007-11-25 2:27:57

its not that shes not well trained, shes partialy trained as a handicapped assist dog. she knows better, she just does it when she is angry when we leave.

Dogs don't do 'spite'..that is one human emotion that thankfully dogs don't have..She does it when she is stressed..it is known as separation anxiety..It has nothing to do with being angry..

And thats it, she's angry, put her in a crate when you leave to keep her from doing this.

You can take him to the mess and rub his nose in it for a few seconds. This will let him know that this is wrong. After you do that, then spank him to let him know that this is the consequence and that you are not going to tolerate it. You may have to do this for awhile but it's like raising a child. You have to teach it. Also, you might consider putting it in a kennel when you leave and keep it in the kennel at night when you sleep. This will teach the dog to hold it until you let it outside because they don't want to stay in their own mess. This will break them after awhile. I tried this not too long ago with my dog and it works both ways.
