Get your dog to the VET immediately. I know from experience as mine showed the exact same symptoms. I was late in getting her there, as one morning she collapsed, and her tongue was hanging out and shallow breathing. I don't want to scare you but it sure did scare the living daylights out of me. She had type 1 diabetes, and I ended up having to giver her insulin 2 times a day. That was 5 years ago. She passed away in the night in her sleep 5 months ago, but I was responsible for her, and I had a choice of either putting her down, or taking care of her. I chose the later, and eventually she did develop cataracts and could only make out shapes, her momma and other sister would look after her and it was the most wonderful time we had together. She was only 8 years old. I miss her but I now take even better care of my dogs and even her daddy who is 14 years old (Dane/Lab mix). I know that when the time comes I have to make that decision. But talk with your vet, and visit them often. You may have to face the choice i had. Good luck to you and your decision.
