Fleas How can i get rid of them2007-11-25 3:01:01

I own 7 yorkies that I take very good care of..But fleas are very bad here,,sandy soil and no leash law, so dogs are free to come in my yard spreading fleas.. What is the best way to get rid of them?Advantage doesnt work,Revoulution i think needs a prescription..I need to solve this problem.And what can you use on puppies and in the yard.? thanks so much take care.

You can add some minced garlic to their food each time you feed them and after you give them baths spray them with some skin so soft bath oil from avon. the fleas have sensitive sniffers and cant stand the smell of either one and both with give them healthier shinier coats. and for your yard use granules like the other person said from home depot or Lowe's or somewhere. and if your house is not cluttered with stuff real bad i would have a professional come in and spray because they are harder to get rid of in the house than they are to get off the dogs. you almost have to do this all about the same time too. i hope it all helps out.

Get the drops from your vet that you put behind the dog's neck. Then treat your yard with either a granule or spray to get rid of the fleas. Get it from Home Depot or some place like that.

I used to have 2 small Yorkies. Love those dogs.

hi there, put bottle water up around the yard where the dogs are, this will stop all animal intruders. now if your dogs dont eat rubbish that is left on the floor, i would then put Rat posion on the floor around the whole area where your dogs are, then flea them. you will find the rat poision will keep them out, hope this helps

Put 2tbs vinger to 1 pint of water.Fix their water like this all the time.Dogs don't mind the taste.They will drink it.It will keep fleas off them.If your dog is real picky try 2tbs vinger to 1/2 gallon of water at first. But the pint of water will work better.
