Just as a figure of speech. I've had 3 Saint Bernards in my life before Bruno, and he is about 13 months old. He is just so bad for a St. Bernard. He hates water like for a bath, and is really hyper. I know he is a pup, but he isn't relaxed ever, which as a lazy breed he should be at home. Plus, he hates the cold, like going into the snow which is very odd for a St. Bernard. I know i have a pure bred because i've met the parents and I have papers. I bought my other dogs from him also. So what is wrong with him?

Not all saint bernards are the same. Humans aren't all the same! Some of us hate germs! Be glad Bruno isn't afraid of germs. Just like humans, there's stuff he won't like, and he'll have a different personality. My dog hates water too, and if it's cold, she pees INSIDE the house, really frustrating. But anyways, back to Bruno, for the energy, not all of them are lazy! Just walk him, play with him, and maybe go to a dog park. Just love him! i'm sure he'll be fine, and just be patient with him. And look at the good things he does, not all the bad things.

when he gets older he will be as normal as any dog he is just a puppy.

Lol. I sympathize.. Keep in mind that each dog is an individual.. just like people. Maybe you just got the "special" one.

Some dogs just are rather strange. I know plenty of labs that hate water. Have fun with him, he clearly is an amazing anomaly.

Your pup is just being a pup,as most pups hate a bath and are very hyper.He will settle down as he gets older,but you may be whipped by then.Enjoy him while you can.

Ive had this prob before 2. Give him time when he gets older he'll mellow out.
