I've got a 16 year old pomberanian(how ever you spell it. Its not my conncern right now) has been acting weird. normally he sleeps next to me at night but lately he's been ignoring me at night. the other night I layed down next to him and he bit me in the nose! and during the day he wants a ton of attention. he's constantly nudging my hand to put him. while durning the day he normally sleeps. my dog has never bitten me before!

It's possible he's losing his hearing. That would explain why he bit you when you laid down next to him. If he didn't know you were coming, then all of a sudden you were right next to him, it could've really scared him enough to just snap without thinking. Also might be why he's distancing himself from you at night. If he can no longer hear when you are moving around at night, he can't get out of your way, so he doesn't feel comfortable staying next to you anymore. Does he show any other signs of failing hearing? Not coming when called, ignoring commands, not noticing when someone comes home until they enter the same room as him, sleeping through loud noises, etc.?

For the attention during the daytime, maybe now that he's not comfortable with cuddling at night, he wants more during the day?

If the hearing loss idea doesn't fit with any other symptoms, watch him very closely for any other behavioral changes (pottying inside, not eating, seeming to forget why he came into a room, etc.) and ask your vet the next time you go for something else (or sooner if you're really concerned.) It's possible he could be getting dementia.
