My dog isnt eating and threw up today2007-11-25 2:11:44

Do you have any idea what's wrong with her? She's a husky mix and is going to turn 3 on Halloween.

aww:( poor girl. I would maybe wait a day and see what happens. Maybe she just has a bad stomach, or maybe she got a hold of something from outside (rabbit, bird, mouse...) and that is causing her stomach to be upset. If she still isnt acting herself by tomorrow, I would call the your vet for more options, and possibly getting her checked out. Hope she feels better!! :)

get her to the vet. could be a bunch of things, your question is vague...was the barf foamy..if so it could be bloat which can kill you dog very quickly...

well she might heave eaten something and that is making her sick . I would recommend calling the vet and describing everything she did and go from there .

This question would be best answered by a vet. There are way too many reasons an animal will throw up, let alone stop eating. Please take the dog to a vet as soon as possible.

My boxer throws up sometimes when she's overheated, but usually once she does, she gets her appetite back. I feed her less on hot days so she won't get queasy after eating, which happens sometimes. Once the weather cools off, I up her proportions again, and she doesn't have as much of a problem with vomiting.

One thing to watch for is whether your dog is eliminating regularly. Sometimes they can get blockages from eating large or indigestible objects and this can make them begin to throw up and can eventually cause intestinal rupture. As long as the cycle is going ok, and the vomiting isn't continuing and she doesn't look uncomfortable, it should be ok. Just keep her cool! I let my dogs crunch on ice cubes and they love it!
