"Solid gold" brand dog food2007-11-25 2:57:53

I have just begun the VERY slow process of switching my puppy over to a brand of dog food called "solid gold" for puppies. It's supposedly an all natural very nutritious brand and was wondering if anyone here has used it or can tell me if it's really as good as they claim.

I had my dobie on it for a while b/c all the stuff it does NOT contain. She however has many allergies and something was in there that was bothering her. I thought the food was great though, it is a much higher quality than anything you can get in most pet stores. I ended up putting her on Wellness mixed with Innova Evo. The wellness is the venison and brown rice formula while the evo is the red meat. I mix the 2 b/c the evo has such a high protein amount it can give some dogs problems, along with her allergies. If I could have her on Solid Gold I would. It is very reasonably priced for how high a quality it is and it's got great ingredients. I had her on the Hunden Flocken.

Have never used it but have read that it was one of the top premium brands. I choose to switch my puppy to INNOVA EVO which he loves. Try Solid Gold and see if your dog enjoys it and how his stool looks/smells.
