What Type Of dog Should I Get
Well I have wanted a dog all my life and I dont now what kind of dog i should get?
Please help Me!
Answers:Get a pad and pencil and make a personal inventory. How many hours a day are you ready to devote to physical exercise with said dog? Grooming? Mental stimulation? Training? Just spending time with? How many hours of the day are you home? What's your living situation? Yard? Personality you'd like in a dog? Your own personality. Where will the dog live (house, yard, both, garage?) Your own assertiveness. And on and on, I think you get the picture.
Then get a dog breed book, or go to a site like www.dogbreedinfo.com and just starte comparing dog breeds with your personal inventory. Narrow is down to a few you really like and you think will fit in well with your lifestyle, and research those breeds 'till it's coming out of your ears. Then you should be able to make an informed decision.
And NEVER get a dog breed based on popularity. Never.

This is my favorite breed but make sure you do research as it is not the right breed for everyone's lifestyle.
go to www.akc.org and read up on all the breeds,, then ask yourself how much time are you willing to devote to grooming, exercising, training, how much money do you intend to spend a month on food etc. educate yourself BEFORE getting a dog and NEVER buy a dog solely on looks alone- you must know what the dog was originally bred for.
this depends...where do you live if you liv in an apartment you will want a small dog...how much time can you devote to your dog consider all these things and more...it may take time but look at all possible breeds once you find the dog for you all your work will have payed off
think about what kind u like. then narrow it down to about 4 dogs. if u want a purebred or a mix.it also depends on your style and personality. good luck and keep me posted.
Get a dog that has the same type of temperment as you. Are you constantly on the go? Would you take your dog with you? Do you want to scoop big or little poops?
